No Silent Hill (8) Downpour Demo

Silent Hill Downpour also known as Silent Hill 8 is a survival horror video game developed by Vatra Games and published by Konami Digital Entertainment worldwide. It is an eighth installment in the long running and extremely popular survival horror franchise from Konami. The game is to be available for Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 only, so do not expect Silent Hill Downpour demo for PC as there will be no PC version launching ever.The actual release date is yet to be announced but it is confirmed to release by the fall of this year. So you have to wait for by the end of this year to download this game. But as told above there will be no demo for Silent Hill Downpour of whatsoever.

Silent Hill remains true to the franchise’s original roots, and again takes the form of a third-person horror experience. With an all-new thought-provoking storyline, players will once again find themselves face to face with their deepest sins and fears in the strange world of Silent Hill.


The new game begins after a prison transport vehicle careens off the road, leaving lone inmate Murphy Pendleton stranded in Silent Hill. As Pendleton takes in his new surroundings, users will encounter mind-bending puzzles and horrific creatures and otherworld terrors. Armed only with the everyday objects they can find - from wooden chairs to glass bottles - to fend off their enemies, fight or flight responses are left to the player as they unravel a dark, thought-provoking storyline which will appeal to fans of the early, classic Silent Hill series.

Silent Hill enjoys a wealth of new elements to create a deep, psychological horror experience. In addition to the main storyline, players will also be presented with variable side quests that will change depending on the user’s play style, revealing further unknown evils within the town.


What happens after this is up to the player, as Silent Hill: Downpour reveals a new, expansive environment that is similarly claustrophobic and where the player is never truly alone.

Konami also announced that acclaimed composer, Daniel Licht (Dexter), is producing the game’s eerie soundtrack.

Killzone 3 Free Download Coming

Goodnews for the fans. Killzone 3 free download is soon to launch for your Playstation 3 now. Sony Computer Entertainment has confirmed the free version releasing on PSN sooner than later. Starting February 15, normal users would be able to download Killzone 3 free version game from Playstation Network on to their Playstation 3. But if you are a Playstation Plus subscriber you will get an early access to the game. All the Playstation Plus subscribers can get Killzone 3 free download almost a week before on February 8. the free game will give you an acess to the Icy Incursion level that takes place halfway through the campaign.

There will be two separate downloads available from the PlayStation Store: one in 2D and one in 3D. Both versions will take place on the “Icy Incursion” level. Don’t worry – downloading the 3D version and playing it on your 2D TV won’t break anything … you’ll just see a message saying “No 3D TV detected.” The 2D version has splitscreen coop as well, a feature not available in the 3D demo.


All PlayStation Plus subscribers who have automatic downloads enabled will receive the 2D single player demo of Guerrilla Games’ upcoming blockbuster. As a reminder, PlayStation Plus subscribers can turn on the Automatic Download feature under “System Settings” on the XMB. This feature will update your PS3 with firmware updates, patches to recently played games and other select videos or game demos.


These demos will be PlayStation Move enabled, giving gamers a chance to experience Killzone 3 with the most immersive controls. When you get your hands on the demo, be sure to try out one of my favorite new mechanics, the Brutal Melee attacks! Get close to your enemy and hit the melee button (or thrust your PlayStation Move motion controller at the screen).

Singstar's New Tracklist Revealed

Singstar's new tracklist has been revealed. The game has got new tracks which will go live on Wednesday on Playstation Network for you to download. There are 44 new tracks in total consisting of some universal songs, fun dance ons and two songs pack. Each Singstar track is priced at $1.49. So to get all the 44 tracks from new Singstar tracklist you have to shed around $66.00.

No Bulletstorm PC Demo

Publisher Electronic Arts has confirmed the demo coming up for Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 but unfortunately there will be no Bulletftorm PC demo. The game is currently under development by People Can Fly and would be published by Electronic Arts itself. The game has been currently scheduled for release on February 22, so there is nearly a month and a week left to its release. Console players would be getting Bulletstorm demo before that but for PC users there is going to be no Bulletstorm PC demo.

The full game is scheduled for release on February 22, but the demo version will launch long before that. Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 users would be able to play the demo version beginning January 25. It will just give a taste of the stuff that full game is going to offer. As there will be no Bulletstorm PC demo so PC users have to buy this game in order to play it. It is going to be available for download on January 25 through Xbox Live Marketplace and Playstation Network in North America. European players will get Bulletstorm demo version a day later on January 26 on their Playstation 3.

Nokia N8 & Games: Symbian 3's Powerful Experience

Nokia N8 proves to be a true mobile gaming platform. I own the device and I am pretty much happy with the way it plays video games. Earlier, prior to the device release there were many false reviews regarding the device such as that it is going to be just another smartphone and Symbian 3 is just going to get failed. But after the Nokia N8 released and got into the hands of greats like me, the real power of the device was judged. Though the processor is just 680 MHz only when compared to iPhone 4's 1GHZ processor, the dedicated graphics card gives it the power that many games developers have been looking for into the mobile phones since long. Nokia N8 is perfect phone for playing video games. Thanks to its dedicated graphics card and Symbian 3 Operating System which made all this look pretty simple and easy.

The device is in the market for sometime now and the one thing that is catching the eyes of many is how Nokia N8 plays games. Nearly everyone gets shock when they see a massive 250MB game being installed and played on N8. The processing is also great. There is no hanging or whatsoever while playing games on Nokia N8. How many smart phones does you remember who can play large and resource intensive video games? I don't say there is no one else N8 but certainly it is one of those many smart phones out there who can play resource intensive video games.

Interestingly there is no factory installed games on Nokia N8. Games can be downloaded from Ovi Store after you purchase the device. Once you purchase the device you have to register at Ovi Store in order to download various apps and games. The vey first game that I downloaded to my device was Need for Speed Shift. If I remember it correctly the game weighs around 80 Mb. It took 10 to 12 minutes downloading it Wi-fi. After the download was finished Nokia N8 automatically installed the game into target folder. I was not sure if the game would work or not but it did and far more than my expectations it's the best car racing game that I have ever played on a mobile platform. Though it took some time iniializing but it's fun playing it. Did I tell you that it is free to download and play this game. Just check how you can get NFS Shift download on your N8.

There is not just NFS Shift alone. Many other Nokia N8 games are there available both in free and paid versions. There is James Cameron's Avatar which is around 250 MB in size and recently launched Real Golf 2011 HD. Oh, just forget to tell you that Nokia N8 plays games in high definition as well. Both James Cameron's Avatar and Real Golf 2011 are in HD. There are many other HD games as well. The world's most downloaded mobile game "Angry Birds" is also available on this Symbian 3 based gaming platform. Though Angry Birds is the paid game but the there is free version as well available for Nokia N8. Angry Birds Lite lets you play first six levels of the full game. Then there are games like Spider Man: Total Mayhem HD which weighs around 130 MB.

Most of the top games available for Symbian 3 based Nokia N8 are in high definition. These are some of the best games ever released on the mobile platform. And Nokia N8 just makes those games look more beautiful than ever. Players can also enjoy these Nokia N8 games on their high definition screens using the HDMI out that the device supports. Simply connect the two devices and start playing Symbian 3 based Nokia N8 games on your HD displays. Though there are many free games available for download from Ovi Store but the best games comes at price only. The price is not that high as you normally shed for PC, Playstation 3 or Xbox 360 games but still many like me are always looking for free games. The release date for God Eater Burst has been announced by Namco Bandai who has developed this game. Well the game is being published by Namco Bandai Games and D3 Publisher collectively. The US version is scheduled for release on March 8, 2011 where as the God Eater Burst release date for European Union is set for ten days later on March 18, 2011.
