The Lord of the Rings: War in the North PC game has been announced officially by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment who has all the rights to develop video games based on the Lord of the Rings. War in the North is not a new announcement though the official announcement has come today only. Almost three quarters ago it was trademarked by Warner Bros. and news about it coming in the near future spread like fire. Well apart from PC, The Lord of the Rings: War in the North (LOTR:WITN) would be releasing on Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 also.

The game is being under development by Snownlind Studios and will be published by Warner Bros. once it releases. Well the release date for the Lord of the Rings: War in the North for PC is set for 2011. The game will get released in the first quarter of 2011 or may be later. It is a middle earth role playing game which explores both original as well as familiar narrative elements. Lord of the Rings: War in the North PC game also includes cooperative mode which supports up to three players to fight against the devil forces of Sauron in the North.
