Announced Officially: Stalker Call of Pripyat

We told you about Stalker Call of Pripyat weeks ago where we mentioned the title to be almost confirmed. Now the official announcement has come from the GSC Game World, the developer of the franchise. All the details which we gave you earlier appears to be absolutely correct. Call of Pripyat will take place shortly after the events of Shadow of Chernobyl in the city of Pripyat where announcement of nuclear disaster is being circulated over the radio. Government's aim is to hold a large scale military Fairway operation to take the CNPP under control.

Marvel vs Capcom 2 Demo on PSN Now

This is the day for updates on Playstation Network. Along with many other games demos, DLCs and other content, Marvel vs Capcom 2 demo has also been released exclusively for PS3 on PSN. The demo is exclusive to PSN. According to Playstation blog, hiding the announcement of Marvel vs Capcom 2 for PS3 was one of the worst kept secrets in the industry because details had leaked by many blogs and websites earlier.

Well, anyway, Marvel vs Capcom 2 demo has been released and is here in front of you. You just have to download it straight from the PSN to your PS3 without purchasing any other game. The access to Marvel vs Capcom 2 demo is absolutely free and all the credits for making this demo goes to Rommel Hernandez.

This Marvel vs Capcom 2 demo consists of two player local matches, seven selectable environments, upscaled 1080p graphics, six characters, two graphic filter options for character sprites, 4:3 widescreen aspect ratio and other cool options to check out.

Marvel vs Capcom 2 full game is scheduled for summer release on PSN, so you will be getting it soon.

Ghost Recon 4 or Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 4 ?

Ghost Recon 4 has been revealed by Ubisoft through the sales data which it has released for fourth fiscal. In the sales data, company has talked about its flagship titles Assassin's Creed 2, Splinter Cell Convinction and few other games. But the most surprising news has been about Ghost Recon 4.

Ubisoft has mentioned the title as Ghost Recon 4 only while earlier all the titles has Advanced Warfighter associated as well. When the title has to be Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 4, it has come out to be Ghost Recon 4 only. This has surprised me, really. This makes me think that this game is not going to similar as previous games. But this could be a clerical mistake also.

Well we have to wait until E3, when both Ghost Recon 4 and Splinter Cell Conviction will be unveiled. Only then the things will get cleared.

Street Fighter 4 Patch 1.02 Update Released

Street Fighter 4 Patch 1.02 update is available now at PSN which players an apply to their games by downloading it from PSN. This is the second patch update to the game. Street Fighter 4 Patch 1.02 has added few bug fixes and some important content such as championship mode and replay voting.

We told you about Uncharted 2 beta coming and how you can get beta code for the game by buying inFamous disc. Now we have got some more information regarding the Uncharted 2 multiplayer beta for which assumptions were that it will be limited to Best Buy only.

Information speculating around is that unlikely as earlier rumored Uncharted 2 multiplayer beta won't be exclusive to best buy. Though not cleared which all retailers this multiplayer beta will be available on but it is quite sure that Best Buy is not to grab this alone. It may be Amazon, may be GameStop or may be some other retailers also get included in this pre-order bonus. It all depends on Sony which will make a formal announcement on Monday, thus clearing all the doubts appearing regarding Uncharted 2 multiplayer beta.

Talking about inFamous demo, it is already confirmed for May 21 release. And we have already confirmed you that no Uncharted 2 demo will be there. You will get an access to beta version only.

Download Arma: Armed Assault Patch 1.16 Beta Now

ArmA Patch 1.16 beta is live now. You can download Armed Assault Patch 1.16 from the link given below but before let us check what is new in this patch. ArmA Patch 1.16 is formulated for specially fixing compatibility issues with ATI cards and large RAM on Vista x64 platform. This patch can be installed over any original version of ArmA 1.14. There's an uninstall application exe Uninstall_ARMAPatch_1_16_beta.exe included in the patch archive that allows you to remove the beta folder and associated shortcut from you game directory.

Uncharted 2 Beta Code on InFamous Disc

What are we hearing from sources? Sony is not going to give direct beta access to Uncharted 2 Among Thieves. Instead it has planned to include Uncharted 2 beta code inside InFamous retail disc. So only those players who have InFamous bought in retail will get Uncharted 2 beta code and hence access to beta.

Well there is no formal announcement regarding the news yet, but on April 27th Sony will be giving updates on its highly anticipated games in which are also included Uncharted 2 Among Thieves and InFamous. InFamous demo is already confirmed for May 21 release date but to get Uncharted 2 beta access, you have to first buy the InFamous retail version where you will find beta key for the game. There will not be any Uncharted 2 demo version, only beta access will be there.

This news is not yet confirmed and is only what is speculating around. The contents of the news can change as it becomes official. Who knows there could be Uncharted 2 beta code and access for general public as well.

UFC 2009 Undisputed Demo out on Xbox Live

A demo for UFC 2009 Undisputed is out now on Xbox Live as well as PSN. The full game is due for release on May 19 but THQ has released UFC 2009 Undisputed demo almost a month earlier. We didn't expect it to come this much earlier.

UFC 2009 Undisputed demo consists of an exhibition match with former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Chuk "The Iceman" Lidell and Mauricio "Shogun" Roa. Also included in the UFC 2009 Undisputed demo is a basic tutorial which lets players understands the game's unique controls.

Well this is a playable UFC 2009 demo for both Xbox 360 and PS3. Scott Guthrei, Executive Vice President of THQ said, "The playable demo for UFC 2009 Undisputed will allow consumers to have their first taste of virtual Octagon action prior to our highly anticipated launch on May 19,” .

The game is available for download on Xbox 360 through Xbox Live and for Ps3 through Playstation Network. Get your console on and download UFC 2009 Undisputed demo for it.

Fight Night Round 4 Demo Release Date is Mid May

Those of you who are waiting for Fight Night Round 4 demo version should get happy now as the Fight Night Round 4 demo release date is set to mid May. A trailer has been posted on Game Trailers showing the demo coming in May, mid.

Killzone 2 Patch 1.24 Details

Guerrila Games has released details for Killzone 2 Patch 1.24. This is very critical update to the game as it will enable released versions of the game to play with Japanese release. The Japanes release is due on April 23rd, so Killzone 2 Patch 1.24 will release on a day prior to it i.e. April 22nd. Support for "Steel and titanium" DLC would also be included in Killzone 2 1.24 patch. Then this patch includes some multiplayer improvements, feature requests and clan fixes etc as given below:

Assassins Creed 2 PSP Confirmed

Today came the official confirmation for Assassins Creed 2 PSP version. Originally planned for PC, PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii, Playstation Portable fans can also now enjoy the game after Assassins Creed 2 PSP version releases.

Though the Playstation Portable version of Assassins Creed 2 has been officially announced today but unofficial hint about the game came earlier from the teaser shown. While first title never hit the Wii platform, the announcement of second title for Wii came like a surprise to many.

Fear 2: Project Origin 1.03 Patch Availble

A third patch/DLC has been released for the game. Fear 2 Project Origin 1.03 patch is an update to the game from the current version 1.00. Fear 2 Project Origin patch 1.03 adds following updates and fixes:

Added Toy Soldiers multiplayer maps
Fixed some AI path finding errors
Fixed the way the Leaderboard counted wins/losses for Blitz games
Team is notified when an EPA comes online

Forge of Freedom Patch 1.12.2 Available for Download

Now available is a Forge of Freedom Patch 1.12.2. This is the latest patch addition to the game which adds so many fixes, improvements, changes and updates to the game. The changes included in the game by Forge of Freedom 1.12.2 patch are based on the feedback received from the users and from ongoing game reports.

Specifically for fixesby Forge of Freedom patch 1.12.2, VPs are now properly assigned only for decisive battles and the National Will bug for capturing empty cities is now fixed. Dawn of War 2 Download

Hellgate London 1.5 Patch Noted

Hellgate London Patch 1.5 has been detailed by Hanbitsoft, the developer of the game. Two new are maps are to be included by this patch update. Also lot of new content will be added by Hallgate London patch 1.5. Update 1.5 will put up Training Grounds map which is an area outside Hellgate used to train players in using weapons and fighting. Second one is Maritime Museum, a big building likely to be used for the Hellgate operations. Then the new content to be added includes Marketplace, Arena Terminals, new boss, Archatonas etc.

You can wait for the Hellgate London 1.5 patch to arrive. The game has been ceased in Western countries, so this Hellgate London patch 1.5 update will be available for Asia only.

Still in Doubts: Fable 2 PC Version

Though the Fable 2 PC version was denied by Lionhead Studios in January itself yet people were hopeful of it coming to PC. Still many believes it to be coming to PC either by the end of this year or at the start of next year and so is VG247.

VG247 asked Lionead boss Peter Molyneux to either confirm or deny the existence of PC version of Fable 2. But boss replied to not to comment on it. So again the existence of PC game has been put into doubts. Earlier there were many yes and no for the game's existence with some saying it coming in February.

Rumors about Fable 2 PC game are spreading since the last year when the game released on 360. One of the employee at Lionhead said that they are not currently working on PC version of the game but he also said that if the plan ever comes to make the one they will let public know about it.

Halo Wars Patch Incoming

Halo Wars Patch will be rolled out soon. This is going to be first Halo Wars Patch which has been confirmed by the official website. Whatever you call it, Patch or Title Update, it is going to make lot of multiplayer fixes and general updates to the game.

Halo Wars Patch will include matchmaking fixes, some balancing fixes inside and outside of the gameplay and laso few fixes and features requests from the fanbase. Prophet Rush has been balanced as Prophet of Regret's speed on land has been reduced to cope with the speed of other leaders. Then secondly, in multiplayer battles, players will find Flaming Warthog and Honor Gaurd.

Not all the Halo Wars patch details are yet available. Complete Halo Wars patch details will come over next few weeks when its release date will also be announced.

World of Warcraft Patch 3.1.0 Download

Now available is a World of Warcraft patch 3.1.0 for download. This is a World of Warcraft patch for US and European versions only. Patch 3.1.0 adds new PvP battleground settings, few general classes, death knights updates, druids improvements and upgrades etc.

World of Warcraft patch 3.1.0 also includes new settings for hunters, priets, paladins, warlocks, warriors, dungeons, professions and others. Some of the general fixes made by WoW 3.1.0 patch are:

All Ground Mounts may now swim without dismounting the rider. Flying Mounts still may NOT, and will dismount the rider upon entering water.

Patapon 2 Download Only

Patapon 2 is a Playstation Portable exclusive title currently under development and to be released soon on PSP by Sony. The company has made a statement regarding the game telling that Patapon 2 will be download only. This means no UMD version will be available for the game.

Players can download Patapon 2 from PSN after it releases. This does not means that game will not be available in retail. It will be available in retail but in the form of download code only. From retail stores, you can only get Patapon 2 download code which you will apply to the game when downloading from PSN.

The reason for making Patapon 2 download only according to Sony is to experiment with this incredible service. This means Sony has decided to take UMDs out of the market by concentrating more on digital downloads.

Anyway let see when Patapon 2 download only version comes out. When released, we will tell you about it so that you may download Patapon 2 from PSN without getting late.

InFamous Demo Confirmed

Infamous demo has been confirmed by SCEA and is scheduled for download on May 21. Also the release date for the full game has been put ahead of time. Originally planned for June release, the game's release date has been put ahead by Sony to May 26 now. As a result, SCEA has announced inFamous demo to be available on May 21 for public download.

But if you pre-order the game, you can get early access to inFamous demo. Otherwise available May 26, pre-orderers will get an access to inFamous demo on May 7 only. So best thing is to pre-order the full game to get an early access to the inFamous demo version. This is an PS3 exclusive game and inFamoous demo will be available for download through PSN only.

Update: InFamous demo is available now. You can download inFamous demo from Playstation Network after you visit it from your Playstation. So turn on your PS3 now, visit PSN and download inFamous demo.

Is Killzone 2 Downloadable Content Free

According to a post on N4G which took me to this page, Killzone 2 downloadable content is free. This is a Killzone 2 Steel & Titanium Pack which according to this post is absolutely free as was announced by Sony Computer Entertainment on Friday.

Well authenticity of this news is not found on Playstation Store website, so we are in doubt if Killzone 2 downloadable content is free or not. If you have any correct news for Killzone 2 downloadable content, please comment below. Your news can clear our doubts.

Update: Killzone 2 downloadable content is not free. The website which we linked above has made a correction to the post now saying that Sony has indicated them that Killzone 2 Steel & Titanium pack is not free but will be sold for undisclosed amount. SO shatter your hopes of getting free Killzone 2 downloadable content which Sony has straightforwardly denied now.

STALKER: Call of Pripyat Confirmed

STALKER: Call of Pripyat is an overall third instalment in the series after Shadow of Chernobyl and Clear Sky which were released in March 2007 and September 2008 respectively. All the events of the series are based on Nuclear Power Plant accident that took place at Chernobyl in then USSR and now Ukraine. Stalker Call of Pripyat will be based on the near by city of Pripyat where evacuation of people started after the announcement on local radio that nuclear disaster took place in Chernobyl and help will be provided to only those affected.

Though no specific game details are provided yet, but talks about its release date are common. It is believed that Stalker: Call of Pripyat will release in late this year after complete testing and satisfaction unlike Clear Sky which was full of bugs. However, gamers are still skeptical for STALKER Call of Pripyat concerning the severe stability issue of STALKER: Clear Sky which made it almost impossible to play.

Painkiller Resurrection is going to be latest installment in the Painkiller game series developed by People Can Fly. Though the original game was developed by People Can Fly, Painkiller Resurrection is being under development by Homegrown Games. This game has been announced to mark the 5th anniversary of the franchise which flourished in 2004.

Painkiller Resurrection will allow the player to take the role of Wild Bill Sherman who is a government trained CIA assassin. Currently he has been pursued for some political assassinations which he never wanted to go for. Checkout how Bill Sherman comes out of this moral grey area in Painkiller Resurrection.

Original: Here is a new patch available for Call of Duty World at War. Call of Duty World at War Patch 1.4 is a fourth patch for the popular FPS based on World War 2. The previous patch release was 1.3 which added lots of customizations and new features to the game. And this patch updates game with even more features.

Call of Duty World at War Patch 1.4 adds 3 new multiplayer maps to the game. These are Kneedeep, Nightfire and Station. Then Nazi Zombie map is updated with more weapons, electro-shock defenses and cola machines. Then players will see improved spawning logic added by the Call of Duty World at War update 1.4. Then there are few additional improvements and updates made that you can check below:

Auto balancing improvements. Players are no longer auto balanced while completing objectives.

Dead Space Extraction Demo for Wii Confirmed

Dead Space Extraction demo has been confirmed for Wii. However it is not confirmed whether this Dead Space Extraction demo will be for public consumption or just a demo showcase of the game to the press or public.

Confirmation about the demo version came from the twitter update at EA's official Dead Space twitter page where it is written that super secret special demo build is under preparation at EA.

As it is mentioned to be super secret demo so obviously no details are out for Dead Space Extraction demo as of now. The demo is expected to be for public use otherwise it could not be so super special. Watch out for more on Dead Space Extraction demo when it releases on Wii.

Grand Theft Auto 5 Confirmed

* 1st baseman’s foot no longer comes off the bag too easily, resulting in a lot of infield hits that should have been routine outs.
* Pitchers will now walk off the mound after the 3rd strikeout in an inning.
* Tuned numbers to fix the fact that pickoffs were too easy, especially at second base.
* Increased the delivery speed of the animations from the stretch to improve throwing out the AI when they attempted to steal.
* Pitcher rotation bug fixed where users in leagues would have their first bench player put in as their starting pitcher. They could adjust the starting pitcher but never get their bench player back to their line up. This would eventually lead to a crash.
* Users can now send a trade when having nine pitchers or eleven hitters on their roster in a fantasy draft league online.
* The Winning/Losing Streak in Online Menu will now populate correctly when viewing the Card Battle Leader boards.
* League settings changes now will take affect immediately.

John Koller said that they want to see GT5 on as many platforms as possible and if possible on all platforms. So certainly Gran Turismo 5 PC release can't be denied as of now. Update: Silent Hill Shattered Memories is officially announced now. The release date for the game is said to be in Autumn and Silent Hill Shattered Memories PSP and PS3 versions will also be there along with the Wii version.

Konami is bringing many exclusive games to Wii. After all Wii is such a big platform now. So now Konami is bringing Silen Hill Shattered Memories to Wii which is a complete re imagination of original Silent Hill video game.

Previous release in the series was Homecoming which was released for PC, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 but Wii was not in the list anywhere. So now Konami has decided to bring Silent Hill Shattered Memories exclusive to Wii.

According to the latest issue of Nintendo Power magazine, producer Tom Hulett has revealed about Silent Hill Shattered Memories with information about what will be there in the game. He said that the game will be a complete re make of the original game with same basic plot. However Silent Hill Shattered Memories will take the story into whole new directions with lot of new customizations, tweaks and ordering. Also puzzles will work in Silent Hill Shattered Memories with Wii remote.

Though you may not have played Ninja Blade 1 but you may have heard about it. Ninja Blade 2 will be the next installment in the newly formed Ninja Blade franchise from From Software. The game is rumored to be a step ahead of the original game with Rock Band type control system and female fighting.

Ninja Blade 2 is rumored to be announced on April 8 when From Software will make an official announcement of the game for Xbox 360. Oh!, this is the same day when original Ninja Blade will be released in North America. So are they trying to surprise gamers by announcing Ninja Blade 2 or are making a big April Fool of them?
