Those who played the game on PC reported of many bugs in it. Gamers weren't pleased with the game as Konami wasn't doing anything to release a patch to the game. But now Konami has announced Silent Hill Homecoming PC Patch which can arrive at any time, though not mentioned by the Konami.

Silent Hill Homecoming PC version is filled with number of bugs which weren't removed while testing. Hopefully, this patch will remove and fix all the bugs and issues associated with the game.

Konami didn't give any release date for the Silent Hill Homecoming PC patch but the patch is believed to arrive soon as fans are annoyed with the way Konami is working. All Ground Mounts may now swim without dismounting the rider. Flying Mounts still may NOT, and will dismount the rider upon entering water.

Strategic Command: WWII Pacific Theater 1.01a Hotfix Patch

Strategic Command: WWII Pacific Theater 1.01a hotfix patch has been released by Battlefront and Fury Software's. This is not a full patch but rather a hotfix to the game which works on the English language version of the game only.

This Pacific Theater hotfix patch corrects a Convey calculation issue for surrendered majors. It is necessary to have patch 1.01 installed before you install Strategic Command: WWII Pacific Theater 1.01a hotfix patch otherwise the hotfix won't get installed correctly. Simply put the hotfix patch 1.01a into the games installation directory and overwrite the existing exe file.

Please note down that games saved earlier to version 1.01 will not be compatible with it so better complete the game progress before you apply Stratgei Command: WWII Pacific Theater hotfix 1.01a patch.

Universal Combat: Collector's Edition Patch 1.01.03

Universal Combat: Collector's Edition patch 1.01.03 has been released by developers 3000AD Games who has made many other real time tactical games such as Galactic Command, Battlecruiser etc. This UCCE patch 1.01.03 is an update to the previous patch 1.01.02 which was also an important patch edition to the game.

The main gameplay changes by this Universal Combat: Collector's Edition patch 1.01.03 are related to tweaks that have been applied to various parts of the game such as radars, frame rate and non playing characters etc. Check all the updates made by UCCE patch 1.01.03 below:

1. Performance tweaks to radar detection.
2. Laser damage is no longer tied to the current frame rate
3. NPC personnel with escort orders will no longer stray past 16m from the leader

A new patch has been released for the game. Galactic Commando: Echo Squad 2.11.06 patch is the new patch to the secial edition version of the game. This patch updates the current version 2.11.05 of the game to the newest version 2.11.06 with few tweaks and fixes.

Saints Row 2 Update released

We told you about incoming Saints Row 2 patch for which no details were available by that time. But now we not only have all the details for that Saints Row 2 update but also can gude you on how to download Saints Row 2 update which is available through Steam only.

Well you don't have to do anything specific to download and apply patch for the game through Steam. Saints Row 2 update will get downloaded automatically and also applied automatically when you restart your Steam client.

Saints Row 2 update released for PC is a minor bug fix with few other improvements. Details about the patch has been given below:

Added 16:9 resolution support
Changes to graphical settings: Users are able to customize specific graphical settings after choosing either High, Medium or Low

Modern Warfare 2 Confirmed for the Year's End

Lots of talks has been going over Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 regarding its release date. Two months back we were the first to report that you can download Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 by the end of 2009 though that was speculation only. But now that news came to be absolutely true as both Activision and Blizzard confirmed the game to be released in the fourth quarter of 2009.

This news came as a part of Activision's fourth quarter earnings call in which game is mentioned to be most anticipated by fall 2009. No other details were given about the game.

New Race Pro Track Detailed: Circuit de Pau

I know you are curiously waiting for Race Pro demo about which no release information is available yet. The full game is all set for release on February 17 and there is no news about the demo game.

Well a new track has been revealed for the Race Pro, so total number of the tracks in the game reaches 13 now. This new track is Circuit de Pau which is situated in the South West France and is a 2.670 Kms long city track. The track is in the town of Pau in France and this Race Pro track resembles a lot to Monacco GP track. The first race on Circuit de Pau took place in 1901 and is considered to be one of the difficult racing tracks of the world where the difference between win and loss is measured in inches.

All the Race Pro tracks are real world tracks situated around the world. There are total 13 real world tracks in Race Pro. The complete Race Pro track list can be found below.

We told you about new game "Battlefield 1943" two days ago on which EA DICE is currently working and which is currently scheduled for June this year. Battlefield 1943 will be available for both PC and consoles with no details about whether Battlefield 1943 demo will be coming or not.

Well, if there havn't been any details on Battlefield 1943 demo, we have got some more details regarding the game. You won't be getting this game on a CD. Battlefield 1943 will be download only game. This means you can get Battlefield 1943 download digitally only with no retail version being available on the disk.

For XBox 360, Battlefield 1943 download will be over XBLM, while for PlayStation 3, digital download will be provided through PSN. Company hasn't yet undisclosed digital service for Battlefield 1943 PC download. Possibly it will be Steam and/or Direct 2 Drive. EA can also look for newly started digital PC games download service by Amazon.

Gustav Halling also talked about game content and design. He confirmed about no unlocks to be made in the game. He also talked about adding 24 players servers instead of 64 players which remains partially filled. Big relief for the gamers was that Battlefield 1943 is download only game with no browser based support.

Afro Samurai Downloadable Content Announced, No Demo

Afro Samurai is an award winning action-adventure game based on the manga and anime series of the similar name developed by Namco Bandai for XBox 360 and PlayStation 3. The game was released on January 27, 2009 and is in single player mode only. No Afro Samurai demo was released. There are no symptoms of one coming post to the game release. I wonder why Namco Bandai dibn't create any Afro Samurai demo when one was needed desperately.

However downloadable content for the game has been confirmed by Credit Reel according to which series of Afro Samurai downloadable content will be released in the future. If not the bnch of DLC at leats one will get released in the near future. The content for Afro Samurai downloadable content is being written by Peter Saji who is working on fairly modern settings for the game.

He said that the content he is writting for Afro Samurai downloadable content coming as an episode will be totally seperate from the game. He added that it will be the work of creativity to make elements of feudal Japan in the world of cell phones. So he insisted on adding modern day settings in feudal Japan in this coming DLC for the Afro Samurai. Downloadable Content will be based on entirely new concept not found in the manga or anime series and will have no connections with the events already depicted in the game. However, he denied to say anything on the plot settings for the episode.

No information about Afro Samurai downloadable content has ben provided yet. It is believed that might not get released before June. However I still wonders why Namco Bandai didn't release any Afro Samurai demo when was needed desperately. Think of the gamers like me who can't afford to play games without trying their demos. I still hope if some one releases Afro Samurai demo for us.

Gears 2 Single Player DLC Confirmed

We don't have any official details but the news is pretty confirmed that Geas 2 single player DLC is coming. Joshua Ortega, the game writer, talked about upcoming Gears of War 2 single player DLC for which he denied to say anything further.

He was at New York Comic Con to talk about the game with those interested. When asked about upcoming Gears 2 DLC, he said, "Keep watching. You won’t be disappointed." which definitely confirms that single player DLC will get released sometimes in the future.

Well this news is not officially confirmed, so it is difficult to comment on the news. Already no Gears of War 2 demo has been there and not getting DLC will create chaos among enthusiasts. You can wait to hear more on Gears of War 2 single player DLC which might get released in the near future.

Tom Clancy's HAWX Demo Coming Feb 11

A XBox 360 exclusive HAWX demo is all set for release on February 11. According to XBox.com, Tom Clancy's HAWX demo will be coming to Xbox 360 exclusively on February 11. I am wondering if Ubisoft is doing the same with this game as Capcom did with Resident Evil 5. RE 5 demo was also initially said to be Xbox 360 exclusive but was later on ported to Playstation 3 also. Now PC version of the game has also been announce, so hopefully Resident Evil 5 PC demo will be there though. Similar was the case with Skate 2.

Well whatever this is, whether Tom Clancy's HAWX demo releases for Xbox 360 exclusively or not, we have got demo details for you. This HAWX demo will feature four player co-op and two missions for you to play. These two missions are Operation: Off Certification and Operation: Glass Hammer. Operation: Off Certification is a training mode while Operation: Glass Hammer takes place in Rio de Janeiro.

In co-op mode, players can gain experience points to unlock something very special added in the Tom Clancy's Hawx demo for Xbox 360 exclusively. Players can unlock F-16A Fighting Falcon, SU-35 Super Flanker and AV-8B Harrier 2 planes in the HAWX demo.

The full game is scheduled for March 3rd release and is the only game in the Tom Clancy's franchise where you can perform air combat. While this demo is for Xbox 360 excluively, we will let you know if any Tom Clancy's HAWX PC demo comes. If there will be no HAWX PC demo coming, then also we will let you know.

After World of Warcraft Patch 3.08, Blizzard has released yet anoter patch for WoW. Downloadable Mass Effect Content Coming

A new Mass Effect downloadable content has been revealed by Bioware at New York Comic Con. Few days back company also revealed Mass Effect patch 1.02 which is still under development.

Frankly speaking, we never expected the DLC to be announced so quickly. A patch is still under way and no release date for the patch has been given yet but Bioware has announced more downloadable content for Mass Effect. Downloadable content has been confirmed by the community manager Watamanuik who said that second Mass effect downloadable content is on the way but denied to tell when this DLC will get released for the game.

He also talked about the upcoming patch asuring that patch 1.2 will release soon and won't take six months as is being rumored. May be month or a two, he added.

As a hint just letting you know that this patch 1.2 for WAR is going to fix some 500 bugs. So you expect this to be very substantial update to the game though many of the fixes will be for small bugs and issues only.

Well, it’s Friday and time for another Sneak Peak at the next major patch. In this case it will be an early look at the Patch 1.2 patch cycle. While we could easily call this patch Combat & Careers Part Deux, I think a better name is the Bugs, Careers, Bugs, Items and Bugs Patch. Over this patch cycle we will have addressed and resolved about 500 bugs and issues (some internal, most external) and some of the changes have already been pushed to LIVE. Now, while a lot of these are teeny tiny little bugs, such as grammatical errors in tool tips, the majority of them are substantial.

This patch is intended to be made available to our Core Testers next week on our Public Test Server (PTS). We also intend to break with tradition a little bit and make the entire patch notes available to the community before the patch goes to the PTS. So, without further ado, here are some highlights from the 1.2 patch cycle.


1) Bugs: I’m certainly not going to list 500 bugs/issues here, but the list is rather lengthy and right now bug fixes alone are coming in at about 16 pages of notes.

2) New Careers: Two new careers have been added, the Slayer and the Choppa. For those that got a look at the Choppa during Beta, you’ll see some changes and improvements but the Slayer is all new and ready to take the field for the first time.

3) Combat and Careers Adjustments: Lots and lots of bug fixes, adjustments and tweaks to all careers. This Balance patch focuses on addressing a number of global issues identified by the players that have been affecting the overall feel and balance of the game. This includes items such as Resistance stacking, Disorient effects, and Damage Absorb shields. In addition to these more global changes, we continue to work on each individual career addressing many of the more significant balance concerns and bugs brought up by the community. This includes a focus on the following careers; Witch Elf, Witch Hunter, Chosen, Knight, Black Orc, and Swordmaster.

4) Realm vs Realm: RvR is introducing several great changes including the new Open RvR Rallying Cry, Zone Domination System, and Siege Weapon Improvements and more!

5) Items: Itemization improvements and fixes for Gunbad, Bastion Stair, Lost Vale, Fortress Raid Rewards, City Invasion Rewards, and more!

6) Crafting System Improvements: Overall improvements to the system with Apothecary being the focus of this patch. New ingredients, improved interfaces and more.

7) Public Quests: Easy PQs for Tiers two, three, and four! This completes our first pass at the Easy PQ system and we will continue to review and tweak the system as necessary. As we have already done for Tier One, we have gone through the PQs in each Tier and made sure that at least one per chapter can be completed by 1-3 people.

8) New Live Event: The Bitter Rivals event will be launching with this version as the official kick off for the anticipated introduction of the Slayer and Choppa!

9) New Scenario: The Twisting Tower Scenario will be making a special preview appearance!

10) User Interface: Lots of UI improvements for both old and new systems! These improvements cover everything from crafting to RvR.

11) Mail: Send multiple items attached to each mail! Easily one of our most requested features by the players.

12) Client Stability: Continued improvements to the client in the areas of stability performance and visual quality. Improvements to an MMO’s client, just like the server, are ongoing and these will continue now and in the future to be one of our priorities.

As always, there’s a lot more to this patch than I can hope to cover here and things are subject to change during testing, but 1.2 is a huge patch for us and it will be followed by another large patch, 1.3. I’m also working on a State of the Game that will lay out, in more detail, our plans for the rest of 1.2, 1.3 and beyond. And once again, this is only a Sneak Peak. =)

Who believed that Battle Fantasia will be coming to PS3? But wonderfully, the game is coming as a digital download on PSN in North America. Reports are of it being already available in Europe through 505 Games as a retail version and in North America the game was only available for XBox 360.

Just like Gran Tourismo 5, WarHawk etc, you will get Battle Fantasia as a PSN download in North America exclusively. The game has been re-rated by ESRB board for XBox 360, PlayStation 3, PS# PSN download, so it is quite obvious that we will get Battle Fantasia download only retail version in North America.

Play Left 4 Dead Using 3D Glasses

If you remember, days ago I told you how you can play Left 4 Dead free as a modification for Team Fortress 2. I hope you have playedit on you Team Fortress 2. Now I am going to tell you how you can play Left 4 Dead in 3D using 3D glasses.

Most of you might be having free superbowl 3D glasses which are required in order to play Left 4 Dead in 3D. Also needed in Nvidia 8x series graphics card and ofcourse Windows Vista or XP and Left 4 Dead game. After you gather all these resources now is the time to install Nvidia drivers.

Install driver 181.22 for Vista and reboot it. If on XP, install driver 181.20. Then install Nvidia 3D Stereoscopic driver 181.25 for Vista or 91.31 for XP. After you have installed the Nvidia drivers, run this registry hack . Then go to Nvidia Control Panel and activate Stereoscopic settings in the stereo tab. Now start your game and play it in yellow/blue 3D evironment.

The purpose of running the given registry value is to enable the use of colerd 3D galsses in yellow/blue combination rather in default red/blue lenses. It also enables the use of 3D stereo drives that you enable through the Nvidia control panel. If you want to remove this registry value, run this file and then reinstall 3D stereo drivers from Nvidia. Everything will get restored to default.

Tom Clancy's Endwar PC System Requirements Revealed

Tom Clancy's Endwar is a first person shooter which is currently due for release on PC on March 3, 2009 but has already been released on PS3 and XBox 360 in November last year. The plot for the game is set in the fictional battle of World War 3 where you can put your own voice to control the units. Foundations for the sttings have been laid on the basis of WW2 and because of technological advancements, the game shows you what you have never seen before.

There were talks earlier that Tom Clancy's Endwar PC demo will launch, but I don't hope so because no news has come regarding the demo. However, if any demo comes for the PC version of the game we will tell you about that.

Call of Duty: World at War PC 1.2 Patch

On December 19, we told you about Call of Duty: World at War Patch 1.2 coming for PC. We also told you about the changes and fixes that this patch will make to the PC version of the game. Unfortunately we were not able to tell you about the release date of the patch. And more unfortunately, Call of Duty: World at War patch 1.2 for PC is releasing today and we have been reported about it just now.

But as a good reporter, we thought of telling you about the patch at soonest so that you can download the patch as soon as it gets available. This Call of Duty: World at War update 1.2 is not available yet but will get available anytime soon.

Along with the fixes mentioned at this page, this Call of Duty: World at War PC 1.2 patch also adds new multiplayer map Makin Day to the game. Makin map is already available for the game but is in the night mode setting only. This Makin Day map will provide the day settings for the map.

Call of Duty: World at War Patch 1.3 is also in development but nothing is known about that patch yet. Battlefield 1943

It looks if EA DICE is working on another title in the franchise as is reported by Worthplaying. From Battlefield 1942 to Battlefield Heroes many games and expansions have evolved in the franchise. Still coming is working on an upcoming title Battlefield 3 and now words have started coming about Battlefield 1943: Pacific.

EA has decided to unveil Battlefield 1943 at New Year Comic Con which is taking place February 6 to 8. Many are saying it to be PlayStation 3/XBox 360 game without any port for PC. While there are some who are rumoring about it to be coming for PC as well. So it is not clear exactly which platforms will Battlefield 1943: Pacific will be releasing for. And yeah like previous titles of the franchise it will be an online multiplayer game only.

Very little is known about the game presently. All that we know is already told to you. To know more about Battlefield 1943: Pacific you can wait until EA offcially unveils it at New York Comic Con.

Update: EA has announced the game officially and Battlefield 1943 PC version will also be there. Company is presently developing a port for PC and will be released along with the console version possibly June this year. The game will be avaiable as a digital download for PS3, XBox 360 and PC along with their retail versions.

The plot is set in the World War 2 Pacific Drift. The game can support upto 24 players in an online multiplayer mode at a time. Hopefull Battlefield 1943 demo will be there.

Update 2: EA has dropped the word Pacific from the name, so it will be "Battlefield 1943" only now. And we have now much more details than ever about the game. Battlefield 1943 will consist of 3 multiplayer maps being developed over Frostbite game engine. There will be only three character classes in Battlefield 1943 unlike the previous games which featured many character classes. These character classes are infantry, riflemen and scout. Only one game type Conquest is featured in the Battlefield 1943, so the game is a little disappointing to those who are looking for lot extra stuff.

Battlefield 1943 will include good modes of transportations and combat vehicles such as tanks, planes, jeeps, warchips, submarines etc but with no trains in the game. Players in Battlefield 1943 will get new abilities through new levelling up system when reaches certain milestones. And we have already told you that you can download Battlefield 1943 but can't get it on the disk.

You know there have been lot of job cuts at EA and DICE and some of the employees who were associated with the development of BF2 had also given layoff slips. Lots of other issues have to be resolved in order to create a Battlefield 2 patch 1.50 which has been looked over as very critical update.

Creating a patch is not a work of a single employee. A group of them is needed all assigned with different tasks. Just read what an employee working on this patch said:

"If I could give you a date on when we'll beta I would. The hacks are also not helping speed up any process as part of my job is also to deal with the problems happening with stats, servers (including knife and pistol servers), Evenbalance etc etc. While I do that the programmer is hard at work getting the updates to build properly."

So it certainly looks that Battlefield 2 patch 1.50 is in doubts now. It couldn't be said when Battlefield 2 1.50 patch will release, whether will release or not. Nothing can be said about its release.
