2K Sports has announced the development of NBA 2K Online game, the online variant of its popular NB! series of video games. NBA 2K Online is to be developed in partnership with Tencent holdings especially targetting China and other key Asian markets where basketball is finding popularity. Also because Asians loves to play online games, 2K Sports for the first time is developing online game in the form of NBA 2K Online as said by Cristoph Hartmann, president of 2K. The purpose of associating Tancent with it is to develop and operate highly successful NBA 2K Online and other games communities in China and Asia as these countries are finding significant boost in the sales of online games.
