Uncharted 2 Demo Details

Update 4: Details have emerged for Uncharted 2 demo. You know Sony is releasing multiplayer demo for the game on September 29, so details were obvious to come. Uncharted 2 demo will contain four maps, four competitive modes, two co-op modes, the much-hyped cinema mode, the ability to create custom games, access to new skins, about 80 percent of the boosters you'll find in the final game, and so much more. Uncharted 2 demo will weigh hefty 1.5GB but this is going to be very good playable demonstration of the game. If they are not going to halt Uncharted 2 demo after the full game releases, the players will get the chance to enjoy Uncharted 2 multiplayer demo for forever, which is a great thing.

Update 3: Denying all the rumors that arouse in the past few days, Sony has finally confirmed the public Uncharted 2 demo. Though beta testing is going on for the game, players would be able to play Uncharted 2 demo version as well as it has been confirmed from Sony.

Uncharted 2 demo access will be provided September 29 onwards. This means starting September 29, all those who missed the chance to enroll themselves in beta can play Uncharted 2 demo game now. This is going to be open multiplayer demo for the game that could be accessed by anyone with PS3 and PSN account. Well the content of 2 demo are not going to be same as the beta that was release in June, this year.

Update 2: Sony is giving access to Uncharted 2 beta code but this access will be given to only those who buy inFamous game retail disc. So to get Uncharted 2 demo you have to buy inFamous first. There will be no Uncharted 2 demo download provided.

Update: Rumors came about the Uncharted 2 demo for PS3. Actually rumors spread from the words mentioned by Naughty Dog boss on his twitter profile. Well no PSN demo is coming for Uncharted 2. Demo will be only for demonstration purposes.

Uncharted 2 demo for PS3 might get confirmed ahead but there is no official confirmation of the demo yet.

Original: Here is all that we know about Uncharted 2: Among Theives till date. This is an upcoming game and a sequel to 2007 popular PS3 title Uncharted: Drake's Fortune which was a big hit on PS3. Uncharted 2 is developed exclusively for PS3 and is set for release in Fall of 2009. The exact release date of the game is not known yet. The game is being developed by Naughty Dog and is to be published by Sony Computer Entertainment for PS3 exclusively.

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves is going to be released in single player mode only. There isn't going to be any multiplayer version of the game. Also publishers hasn't confirmed any Uncharted 2 demo yet. It is not known till date whether Uncharted 2 demo will release or not. No news regarding the demo version has came till date. The game is going to be an action adventure game but with stealth based mechanisms.

The plot is set in the 13th century where Nathan Drake the protoganist of the game is shown unveiling hidden myteries of the 13th century. Events in the game are set soon after the events of the Uncharted. But according to this post the game is shown to be set in India which actually could be confirmed from the screenshots shown where boards written in Hindi, Tata buses and old Indian environment can be found. But this doesn't looks like the screenshots of this game to me.

Lot of new features are being added in the game. The good thing about the game will be "no loading screen" which means you won't have to wait for the game to load and play it. The game will load as soon as you click on the icon and then you can play Uncharted 2: Among Thieves directly. There are other lot of gameplay mechanics being added in the game such as stealth based techniques.

Few trailers have been released for the game but many more will be released in the coming months. There is still lot to be done for the game and it is long-long from now the game will release.
