Diablo 2: Lord of Destruction is an expansion pack to the Diablo II, a hack and slash action role playing game by Blizzard Entertainment. This LOD expansion pack has been developed by Blizzard North and published by Blizzard Entertainment in North America and by Sierra Entertainment worldwide. Lord of Destruction is the only expansion pack to the game as of now. Now Diablo 3 has been set for the release. LOD was released on June 29, 2001 on Windows and Mac OS. You can play Diablo 2: Lord of Destruction in both single player and multiplayer versions. You can download Diablo 2 demo but there is no demo for Diablo 2: Lord of Destruction. You have to buy its full version only.

It features revamped gameplay of Diablo 2 with lot of added content. There are two new classes in the Lord of Destruction: Assassin (she) and Druid (he). Assassin has a mix of martial arts and ability to lay passive traps where as Druid is a magician with direct damaging power and minions. Then many new scenarios have also been added to the Diablo 2 through this expansion pack. Several new weapons have also been added to the game. And stash available in the original game has also been expanded to twice the size of the original. You can also setup alternate weapons directly at the push of a hotkey.
