Unreal Tournament 2004 is the sequel to the Unreal Tournament 2003 developed by Epic Games and Digital extreme and published by Atari for Linux/Windows, and Macsoft for Mac. It is a first person shooter game that was released on March 16, 18, and 19 of 2004 in USA, Europe and Australia respectively. Unreal Tournament 2004 is available for play in both single player and multiplayer modes and it is released for Windows, Mac and Linux platforms only. Unreal tournament 2004 is developed on Unreal Engine 2.5. The latest version “Unreal Tournament 3” uses Unreal Engine 3.0.

It is also abbreviated as UT2004 or UT2K4. Whatever it is called by; either UT2004 or UT2K4, players love the game very much. It is the successor to the original Unreal Tournament. Many extreme new and excited features had been introduced in the Unreal Tournament 2004 along with the incorporation of all the features that had been previously introduced in the Unreal Tournament 2003. It includes large scale battles, introduction of new vehicles, new weapons and offensive game type.

Unreal Tournament 2004 has replaced all the versions of the Unreal Tournament 2003 in the market and publishers are also giving a rebate of $10 on the purchase of the game. The development of Unreal Tournament 2004 is the consequence of the ambitious development that Epic Games was in. Epic Games was working hard to modify an original Unreal Tournament game to have Onslaught game modes, assault weapons, and extensive vehicles. As a result the Unreal Tournament 2004 was born. But before its release, Unreal Tournament 2003 stripped-down version was released but was soon replaced by the former along with some changes.
