FIFA 07 is developed by EA Canada and is published by Electronic Arts. EA has produced its series of soccer games under the name FIFA. FIFA 07 is the second release in the football series of games as developed by EA. FIFA 07 was released between September and October of 2006 in various parts of the world. It is available for almost all popular platforms including PC, GameCube, PlayStation, Xbox 360, Nintendo DS, and Game Boy etc. For Xbox 360, FIFA 07 was released on 27 October, 2006 in Europe and on 31 October, 2006 in USA.

FIFA 07 is the last game of the soccer series to be released for GameCube, Game Boy Advance and Xbox. The game was released with seven different covers, each having different player stuck on it. However, Ronaldinho was graced on all the seven covers along with players from different segments shown in FIFA 07. The tagline used for the game is “This is the Season”.

FIFA 07 has total of 27 leagues featuring 20 countries, 510 teams and over 10,000 licensed players. There are total of 51 stadiums shown in the game. Interactive Premier Leagues can also be created using interactive online league creator. The crowd shown in FIFA 07 is more interactive than ever before. The crowd makes movements during the game and shouts in the game. AI used is also much improved. FIFA 07 has improved kicking, passing and crossing techniques. Using manager mode, players can create original clubs in all platform versions except that for Play station Portable.

The game has achieved a lot. It has bagged many awards including IGN “Game of the year 2006”, PC World Gamer’s award, Teambox.com game of the year award and many more awards. Even though now FIFA 08 is released, but still many prefer FIFA 07 over FIFA 08 because of its realistic play and interface provided to the players.
