Tomb Raider Anniversary was launched to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Tomb Raider. This is an eighth edition of the Tomb Raider series games. Actually it is an improved remake version of the original tomb raider of 1996 implementing legend game engine. Tomb Raider Anniversary is developed for Windows, Nintendo’s Wii, PlayStation 2, PlayStation Portable and Xbox 360. The game was released on June 1, 2007 in Europe and on June 5, 2007 in North America. Different platforms were released at different times but with in short time span.

Tomb Raider Anniversary Storyline: The story prelude begins in 1945 in Los Alamos, New Mexico. But the main story starts after 51 years at Calcutta (now Kolkota) , India. Lara Croft is hired by Jacqueline Natla. She sends her to Peru to find one of the three artifacts. The story now revolves around finding the artifacts as it was in original Tomb Raider.

Tomb Raider Anniversary edition is composed of five levels; Peru Greece, Egypt, Lost Island, and Croft Manor. Relics are somehow important part of the game. Relics are used to unlock new costumes whereas Artifacts are used to unblock other bonus features. Tomb Raider Anniversary edition also includes unlockable Toby Gard and Jason Botta commentary. Soundtracks are also unlocked after each section completes. Tomb Raider Anniversary also includes 10 unlockable costumes taken form Tomb Raider II, Tomb Raider angel of Darkness, Classic Lara etc.
